School Counselor Needed at Noblaskolan Lindholmen and Noblaskolan Kviberg

Noblaskolan consists of 16 preschools and primary schools that operate under the motto that students who are challenged achieve more. Through a combination of clear structures, high expectations, high-quality teaching, as well as safety and study peace, students will have the best conditions for a good school experience. Noblaskolan is part of AcadeMedia's primary schools.

We are now looking for an engaged school counselor for Noblaskolan Lindholmen and Noblaskolan Kviberg. The schools have a close collaboration where the counselor, school nurse, school doctor, and school psychologist share their working hours between the schools.

As a school counselor, you will be part of the schools' student health team and contribute with psychosocial competence at the organizational, group, and individual levels. In student health, you collaborate with the school nurse, special educator, special teacher, school psychologist, school doctor, assistant principal, and principal. The team's mission is to work health-promoting and preventive together with teachers to strengthen children's and adolescents' opportunities to achieve their goals. For us, collaboration is important, and we support each other with the student's best interests in focus.

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker or has another education deemed equivalent. Previous experience in school counseling is an advantage.

Your Mission

Your tasks include participating in and driving the school's ongoing values and safety work, support conversations, motivational talks, collaborating with and supporting guardians, working with the school's attendance-promoting efforts, consulting with staff, and interventions in groups/classes.

You will also collaborate with external actors such as social services, habilitation, UPH, and BUP. You have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.

You have a strong commitment to the psychosocial situation of children and adolescents and the ability to meet people in different life situations. You contribute to highlighting students' participation and perspectives.

Other

The position is a permanent employment at 100% (intermittent position) with an initial probationary period of 6 months. Start date is 2025-04-01, or according to another agreement.
